Large-scale, space-constrained projects require interaction between many specialized teams. Sowards Electric’s Project Management Team (PMT) facilitates communication and standardization between groups involved in project completion. Our PMT identifies opportunities for improvement, determines new approaches, and plans implementation of the changes. To support our field efforts, our PMT communicates new ways of thinking and works to constantly establish a new baseline of performance. The PMT plays a crucial role in knowledge management by keeping records of projects (i.e. what works and what doesn’t), the steps through which certain processes must pass, and so on. Our PMT will organize a monthly Steering Committee bringing together leadership from Sowards Electric and your team to discuss high-level project status and critical decision points. Acting as a single source of information to the Steering Committee, our PMT will gather information from each project unit. We’ve successfully navigated around potential project pitfalls with structured internal and external communication, receiving the acceptance from all stakeholders involved in the decision making. We employ out technical experience to methodically step through each element of construction and understand potential difficulties, resulting in plans to mitigate often overlooked constraints. Our PMT will communicate current plans to all potentially affected parties, identify potential conflicts before they impact productivity. Our planning team continues working after mobilization to ensure maximum resource efficiency is maintained throughout the project. We schedule labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material to arrive as needed, preventing excesses and losses.

As we all know, logistics isn't just coordinating the delivery of physical items, but also to deliver several aspects and plans of a project. With this understanding in mind, SE Utility Services team utilizes the above mentioned plan to build and implement a comprehensive schedule that is personalized to each individual project. Within this schedule, we lay out timelines from start to finish for each individual operation of the job as well as field office locations, Material deliveries, Equipment drop-off points and personnel coordination. The efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics capabilities are due to the quality of our management team and the unique IT tools that we have built based on past client needs.
